For Doctor Who fans around or near New York City. On February 5-6 Colin Baker the Sixth Doctor will be appearing at the New York City Comic Con. Be sure to go if you can. Colin is really nice to fans and will sign until every last fan has had a chance to see him.

I met him in Dallas, Texas in about 1990, yikes long time ago! He was so nice to the fans and it was great fun! Doctor Who events are a blast. Are you going to go to Invasion Venue in London in April?

how much is that i dont have anyone to go with so i dont know i get lost in places ive never been afore so i would get lost and not know where to go is that where you are going

How do you rate him as a Doctor? In the pecking order of Whos, is he No1 or No 10?
I too have met him, at a scriptwriters meeting a few years ago. It was not a Who script unfortunately, but for a UK TV soap series.
He is indeed very amiable chap and a thoroughly professional actor.

You know, I have always felt he was treated unfairly. He took a bold step with the Doctor going from Peter Davison's happy-go-lucky-Doctor to a more alien persona. In some ways it's not fair to rate him due to what was transpiring at the BBC at the time. If you listen to him in the Big Finish audio Doctor Who adventures, he does a fantastic job and shows that had the show been left alone he would have emerged as one of the best Doctors! My personal favorites have been:1. Peter Davison 2. Colin Baker 3. Tom Baker 4. Paul McGann 5. Jon Pertwee 6. Sylvester McCoy 7. Patrick Troughton 8. William Hartnell for the classic series and for the new series it is a tie between Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. I have enjoyed both.
Sorry you didn't write for a Who script. Have you thought have writing for the Big Finish Audio versions?
When I met him in Dallas, Texas he was so nice to the fans and was patient about signing autographs with everyone who wanted one. Some got pictures. Unfortunately, I wasn't at the beginning of the line and wasn't able to have my picture taken with him in front of the TARDIS which was placed next to the signing table. That would have been a treasured moment to have my picture taken with The Doctor in front of the TARDIS.

And, no I haven't contemplated the Big Finish. I am embarrassed to admit I have not heard of this.
The nearest I came to acceptance for Who was a synopsis for McCoy's opening story in his final series, however the BBC eventually chose Aaronovitch's script for 'Battlefield' which, although castigated by many did have the makings of of a great story.

Big Finish is the audio series for the Classic Doctor Who, starring Classic Who Doctors such as Sylvester McCoy, Peter Davison, Paul McGann. They are adventures that theoretically took place between the episodes shown on tv. Many of the new series episodes have been based upon Big Finish audio stories. One example is the Series 1 episode, 'Dalek', it was based upon the Big Finish episode 'Jubilee'. You should look into writing for Big Finish.
I was fortunate to live in a city where the local PBS station starting showing British tv in the 1960's. I grew up watching British tv. I first saw a couple of Jon Pertwee episodes in the early 1970's and then when Tom Baker became the Doctor I started watching faithfully. Having said that I think I saw a little of Troughton too because I knew who Doctor Who was in the late 1960's but don't recall watching. I know my choices aren't popular since Tom Baker is the Doctor of choice in the States but I really liked Peter Davison's, cricket-loving Doctor. I had watched him in 'All Creatures Great and Small'.
