I read today that supposedly, supposedly, The next actor to play The Doctor will be announced next Friday on the Children in Need special. If that is true then I suspect that David Morrissey will be the Eleventh Doctor. The candidates have ranged from Billie Piper, oh good heavens, to James Nesbit. I would have liked James Nesbit or the guy from Robin Hood, Richard Armitage to play the Doctor. While I suspect it probably is Morrissey, here is Armitage. He would make a fantastic Doctor.

Well. I know Moffatt said that about spoilers but I can't help but think the title, is as it says on the tin, The Next Doctor. Maybe not. Maybe there is still hope for Armitage.

I've never seen ANY of these guys, just like I'd never heard or seen Tennant, so I've decided to wait and see...I guess I am still blue about Tennant, but also, since it's probably no one I know being choosen, there's no point in me getting excited, until I actually see the bloke in the role as the Doctor.

Wait a minute...I take that last comment back. That guy in the photo does look familar...he wasn't the Irish guy in Black Books, was he? That guy would make a funny/intense Doctor, I bet...maybe not own the part as much as Tennant did, but still very good...if it's him...I don't know (she throws up her hands) I really don't pay attention to celebrites...they all look the same to me, how can you tell them apart?

Oooh, I had forgotten about Black Books. That was really good. I kinda hope it is the guy in the picture. He would give the Doctor a dark quality. I watched some of Series 4 tonight and I was just thinking about Tennant leaving.

I've seen Richard Armitage in quite a few things amongst others the period drama North and South and the Christmas and New Year special and also series finale of the Vicar of Dibley. He's a great actor, so wouldn't mind if he turns out to be the next Doctor. But then again David Morissey, have watched him in quite a few things as well, he's very versatile and also a great actor so he could be good in the role. Dylan Moran is the fellow who played Bernard Black in Black Books. He's very tallented and I've often thought he'd make a great Doctor but don't think he'd be chosen for the role, but than again you never know;-) In any case I'm getting excited again about the special and the new series, so that's great:-)

With the rumours that The Eleventh Doctor might be announced during the Children in Need special on November 14th, we might know this time next week who the next Doctor will be.
I love the anticipation of new episodes and this will be our time to say goodbye to Ten. Russell T. Davies promises a spectacular send off.

I would be very suprised by that. The new Doctor is always kept under tight wraps (in the new series) and I can't see that changing...but, you never know. Steven Moffatt may have something to do with that decision, as RTD is usually known for taking delight in being very secretive...and actually, Moffatt himself has said that he hates spoilers, as well.
