Was really happy about having the day off and just started frittering away time. My crazy neighbour was at work so woo hoo!! I could live it up. Aunt Mary called and asked me to take her to KMART so she could buy a new phone with bigger numbers. I was glad to do it. I don't know what it says about me. One time someone asked me if I would rather be out drinking with friends or playing checkers with old people and I said playing checkers with old people. I like older people. They're cool and you can learn a lot from them.
We got to KMART and Aunt Mary got a grocery cart, because it helps her to walk in the store, kind of like a walker. Mary said, "it's no fun to get old, something always hurts". We sauntered through the store and finally settled on a nice cheap black phone with big numbers. Aunt Mary was happy. She asked me if there was anything I wanted to look at and I went looking for cheap trainers. They used to call them tennis shoes in the US but now they are being called trainers just like in the UK, at least that is what the advert in the paper said, cheap trainers. I found a nice pair of cheap trainers for $15.00 US dollars which is approximately 20 pounds - no pound sign on this keyboard 
We paid for our purchases and then I went to Aunt Mary's and set up the phone for her. I then came home and thought I had a fabulous day off.
